I used to respect McCain for being able to distinguish his personal beliefs from legislating them for the rest of us. I don't mind if someone changes their mind because of learning something new or over time, but when you sell out what you believe to pander to political donors, then shame on you.
I think both parties are in danger of following what they perceived as working in the past, and the world has changed. For anyone to keep moving to the "right" is a huge mistake.
